Frances Rivera Aparicio
Board Member &
Daughter of Jorge & Victoria
Frances is the middle daughter of Jorge & Victoria. She is the visionary and primary investor of the foundation. Her dream of creating an organization that would give back to the communities that her parents lived in and where she was raised is the very reason for the Rivera Sierra Foundation's existence. She taught Latinx Studies for more than thirty years in Universities across the United States, has written books and scholarly articles, and Directed Latinx Studies Programs in the Midwest. Her passions include traveling, spending time with family, vegan cooking, writing, and finding ways to stay engaged in her local community. She remains connected to her professional network through mentoring, and various professional organizations. Frances currently resides in Illinois with her husband John and their son, Alejandro.
Gabriela A White
President, Board Chair &
Granddaughter of Jorge & Victoria
Gabriela is the oldest granddaughter of Jorge and Victoria, and has been instrumental in leading the management of the board and the creation of the Foundation. She followed in Jorge's footsteps and studied Industrial Engineering during her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has 10+ years of corporate experience in operations, leadership, and international business development, and completed a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Rutgers-Camden. While living abroad and raising two young children, Gabriela completed the University of Michigan's MasterTrack Certificate Program in Social Work, and has taken a great interest in integrating her professional experience and personal skills into the non profit sector. She currently resides in Texas with her husband Brian, and their two children.
Camila M Guerrero
Board Member &
Granddaughter of Jorge & Victoria
Camila is Jorge & Victoria's youngest granddaughter, and plays a critical role on the board with her wealth of experience in various domains. She graduated from New York University with a degree in Studio Art, and has since held positions with various design firms, culinary businesses, and independent artists. She spent a year living in Mexico City where she was able to broaden her experiences in artistic and culinary spaces, and has developed a passion for cooking with organic and sustainably sourced ingredients. Her contributions towards developing the Foundation's Mission and Vision were critical in defining the Foundation's focus, and her creative eye was pivotal in developing our website and logo. Camila currently resides in New York City with her partner Anthony, and works full time at a major international design firm.
